TINOX® Titanium Dioxide pigments produce a high tinting strength, neutral or slightly blue undertone in the pigmentated system. The high reflectivity in the wavelength range of the visible light and their high scattering capacity in the lacquer formulations are other important features. Effective surface treatment leads to high electrostatic stability in various environments at high technical concentrations, which leads excellent product stability. TINOX® rutile qualities with higher inorganic surface treatment suppresses decomposition processes of the binder initiated by UV radiation and other weathering influences. This leads to an increase of durability with respect to chalking resistance and glossy posture.

TINOX® Titanium Dioxide pigments produce a high opacity and an undertone in the plastic matrix which is dependent of the selected grade from light yellowish over neutral to slightly blue undertone. Excellent dispersibility properties and strong temperature stability of the organic posttreatment are further important features of TINOX® TiO2 grades. TINOX ® micronized rutile qualities with suitable inorganic surface treatment suppress decomposition processes of the binder caused by UV radiation and thus increase the durability of the plastic products in outdoor area. Good powder flowability of TINOX® plastic grades ensure easy handling properties in fields of transport, stocking, bag emptying and powder dosing in process.

Paper & Rubber

TINOX® Titanium Dioxide pigments is used to coat paper, making it whiter, brighter and more opaque and can help minimize the brittleness, fading and cracking that can occur in Rubber and other materials as a result of light exposure.

Special Applications

The opacity of TINOX® Titanium Dioxide pigments to visible and ultraviolet light offered by titanium dioxide protects food, beverages, supplements and pharmaceuticals from premature degradation, enhancing the longevity of the product. Specific classes of high purity pigment-grade titanium dioxide are also used in drug tablets, capsule coatings and as a decorative aid in some foods. TINOX® Titanium Dioxide pigments is use in some cosmetics to aid in hiding blemishes and brightening the skin. Titanium dioxide allows for the use of thinner coatings of make-up material for the same desired effect.
